Too much of a good thing is bad—this is especially true with food. In fact, the more delicious it is, the unhealthier it is, as it seems. Lots of food items are unhealthy when consumed in high doses. served a certain way, or eaten when you aren’t in the best of health. The food on this list, however, aren’t just unhealthy on occasion, they’re unhealthy all the time!
Cheeseburgers
It’s just meat, cheese and bread! Sometimes, there might even be a lettuce or two in it. How can it be so unhealthy? First of all, it’s full of saturated fat, preservatives, and sodium just for the meat alone. Fast food chains have the unhealthiest cheeseburgers. It doesn’t help that they are very cheap, too, which is why some people are tempted to order more than one!
Sugary Drinks
Sugar isn’t very good for the body to begin with, but the average person consumes way over the healthy amount. The number worsens if a person is fond of sugary drinks like sweetened juices, coffee, and especially soda. While it’s best to drink sweet drinks with moderation, you may want to cut soda out entirely. They have no nutritional value whatsoever.
Fried Food
When you fry something, you increase its fat content significantly. It doesn’t matter if it’s deep-fried vegetables. If it’s been dipped, coated, and cooked in oil, it’s not healthy in any way. The worst of the lot are samosas and wantons in Asian cuisine. Americans, who enjoy deep frying everything, are at risk of expanding waistlines with their deep-fried turkeys, deep-fried Oreos, deep-fried potatoes, etc.
Generally, sweets, fried food, and most of the most of the most delicious food out there are unfortunately unhealthy. You don’t have to completely shun them away from your diet. Consider them for what they are—a treat you will appreciate more when you don’t consume it constantly. Try to limit your culinary indulgences to extra special occasions.
